This buck skull is adorned with wild-harvested botanicals and lichens, gathered from the Okanagan, Shuswap, and North Peace regions of British Columbia, are preserved with meticulous care and woven into a composition that blurs the line between artifact and enchantment.
This piece carries a preserved butterfly, thistle blossom eyes, vignettes of mushroom and moss, northern Indian paintbrush, yarrow, fireweed, and gilded rainforest tree lungwort — each element chosen for its symbolism of rebirth, resilience, and the eternal cycle of nature.
