Um, if you are.

01:01.60
Jeff
Um, amazing. Thank you? um.

01:11.78
wildremedies
And I heard that you you guys had a pretty incredible way that you rung in the new year this year tell me about that event.

01:20.79
Jeff
Reclamation yeah was pretty wild. We got an amazing group of facilitators together. There was 14 of us all in total. And yeah, we brought ceremony into New Year's eve and think one of it. Things that really been trying to do over the last number of years is really bring these high vibrational events into the mainstream and get people to be participating in those in replacement of are kind of more traditional. Modalities of getting together and so with the healing tribe. Really the the motivation there is to really get some of these more esoteric modalities out to the mainstream and create these opportunities for people to come together in community. And so that that feeds in right in line with what I've been doing as well. So got together with dammien of he and tribe and all these amazing other facilitators and we had a cacao ceremony. We did some movement apart from jada let the movement I did a bunch of breathwork with people. Um, ecstatic dance and then we had some amazing sound heers. Can they wind us all down at the end of the evening had a beautiful guided meditation right? at midnight just so powerful to come together in that way and had a fantastic turnout was in a creep.

02:45.86
wildremedies
A.

02:54.41
Jeff
Occasion so that was just such a great evening on that's home.

02:59.40
wildremedies
Ah, that sounds wonderful I'm currently sipping on some cacao myself right now. Yeah I've just recently gotten into it my well. What am my it's not a resolution. It's something that I've been wanting to do for a while. But um, I'm not drinking any alcohol in 2023 I don't drink a lot but when I do it's just out of integrity and I'm like okay enough's enough.

03:22.50
Jeff
Um, get through you eaten.

03:30.60
Jeff
Um, me.

03:32.59
wildremedies
And yeah, I heard you know I've heard about the healing powers of cacao for a little while and I've had a really wonderful experience with it before So I'm playing with this a little bit now is kind of like a heartopening thing for socializing and um. Would love to actually learn more about how it's used in ceremony and experience that as well.

03:57.10
Jeff
It's a powerful medicine. Really, it's I think it's underestimated maybe because of our cultural associations with chocolate you know and people can I associate cacao and chocolate together and and maybe underestimate, its healing potential and.

04:03.93
wildremedies
Yeah.

04:14.00
Jeff
Power of that spirit of cacao and its it's a pretty powerful medicine I've kind of I've had a relationship with it on and off for almost twenty years now as a medicine and first came into contact with thes living in Mexico and a really good one.

04:17.73
wildremedies
A handler.

04:26.40
wildremedies
Um, oh well.

04:33.58
Jeff
It's beautiful for for Riha opening up the heart and and connecting to my energy at the heart Just been a big theme for me over these last few weeks I feel like sim says the winter solsness that have really just been having this wild heart expansion.

04:33.89
wildremedies
Um, Erin.

04:37.78
wildremedies
A hand.

04:51.22
wildremedies
He means.

04:53.00
Jeff
Has been really beautiful. So yeah, the cacao is good for eating and that expansion of the weekend.

04:59.68
wildremedies
Yeah, yeah, I really love it and I love experimenting with flavors and things. So I added a little bit of Chipotle and what else did I put in here some cinnamon and clothes. Which is wonderful and I also topped it off with a homemade herbal marshmallow made with real marshmallow root. Yeah yeah, that's what I do I'm obsessed I mean.

05:28.94
Jeff
Um, give as far. Yeah me, ah.

05:33.64
wildremedies
Wild remedies I make I make potions. That's what I do right? So it's like I merge my love of botanicals in nature with creating and design and all of the things and that's my jam and I just feel like I've so many we were just chatting about this before we got on but like.

05:34.68
Jeff
In handy.

05:53.17
wildremedies
And the energy right now is so interesting. We've been in so many Retrogrades astrologically for a while now and things apparently start are going to start moving forward and I feel it's like like you mentioned people have been working on staff right? and just like.

06:09.91
Jeff
Um.

06:10.56
wildremedies
For myself I have like all of these things that I feel like I want to launch but I'm just stuck like I just feel like I've been stuck in the mud and I'm like I feel like I'm nine months pregnant and I'm ready to birth like all of these babies and I can't and it's like so frustrating.

06:20.54
Jeff
Ah.

06:25.85
wildremedies
So really, really looking forward to this new energy that we're ushering ushering in for for 2023 with some forward momentum.

06:32.30
Jeff
Absolutely yeah I can definitely resonate with that I feel like I've got like quint uplets in me right now that are just like knocking on the door when you get out.

06:44.51
wildremedies
Ah, seriously yeah I'm ready to go but it's yeah, it's been a really interesting process because it's like you know I love how I've noticed in the past month or so a lot of people have started to chime up a little bit about um, you know that.

07:03.76
wildremedies
The concept of going within during the winter solstice right? you know and it's like well it's dark out and if if you're from the northern hemisphere like you aren't supposed to actually be hustling so much like you should be getting more arrests like.

07:09.47
Jeff
Um, yeah.

07:21.31
wildremedies
You should be eating warm nourishing foods. It shouldn't all be about hustle hustle hustle and it's kind of psychopathic to like go into the the first of January being like New Year new me all of this stuff when really the new year starts in airy season which is.

07:36.40
Jeff
Um, yeah.

07:39.47
wildremedies
And when all of like the new growth and things are happening which makes so much sense and I'm so glad that people are starting to talk about that now.

07:47.56
Jeff
Absolutely,, it's It's so interesting that our culture has pulled us in so far in the other direction away from this going in and nourishing and just really being and sitting and. Listening and being quiet that is is so innate and intuitive within our body and yeah, it's It's really cool to see more people opening up and and maybe just feeling that alignment within themselves that they they need to take that time.

08:21.11
wildremedies
Hey.

08:23.61
Jeff
To slow things down and and it's as you said it's exciting to to hear just the the the talk in the communities of you know of all these ideas that are being born out of that stillness and out of that quiet and out of the depths of the darkness by itself.

08:42.89
wildremedies
Anthony.

08:43.54
Jeff
Everything that is so it's It's such an important time here to be able to to create some space and have the quiet nights and the the slower mornings and and the cold ice baths of course. Yeah.

08:56.52
wildremedies
And the cola sp. Ah.

08:59.99
Jeff
Those dark mornings and down in the lake are just so magical and special.

09:05.14
wildremedies
Ah I don't know if I can do I mean like I'm good with a cold dip if there is a sauna nearby I'm I'm such a baby I was even like was just at Leard hot springs over the holiday which you were talking about and it was a balmy minus twenty.

09:09.96
Jeff
Are.

09:22.61
wildremedies
Um, and I was like this is great cold therapy. Whatever get into the hot springs and I guess it had been minus fifty the prior week so there was like a layer like a small layer of hot on the top and the rest was like not that warm and I was like I'm gonna die like I get to.

09:32.33
Jeff
Um, moving.

09:42.00
wildremedies
Not going to get really warm and then you because they thought like oh it's like when you're in a hot tub. You get all nice and warm and then you come it doesn't matter what the temperature is like you're toasty. You get your clothes on no problem and I'm like no I'm literally going to freeze to death. Obviously I didn't I was being dramatic but that was some very.

09:47.14
Jeff
Are.

09:59.52
wildremedies
Primal hot and cold therapy that I got over the holidays so that was great.

10:04.17
Jeff
Um, absolutely yeah, it's wild to see the stories that the mind creates around cold. Yeah.

10:12.00
wildremedies
Honestly, yeah yeah, there really was like a little bit of anxiety being like you know because my feet were sticking to the floor because everything was ice and it was very cold and we we went twice and the second time that we went I I felt.

10:18.93
Jeff
Um, okay.

10:26.69
wildremedies
A lot more easeful about it I think because I had already experienced it. But yeah, the mind really can create a bunch of irrational stories about things that are really unnecessary.

10:28.59
Jeff
He.

10:35.46
Jeff
Yeah I think that's one of the reasons why cold is such a powerful teacher because it provides an opportunity to to recognize and and observe those stories arising and then to have an experience that completely shatters all of those illusions and when we have that.

10:51.15
wildremedies
And.

10:54.80
Jeff
That experience of those illusions being shattered as kind of like well what other stories am I telling myself that aren't true and it creates this this process of really starting to Unravel and unwind some of the narratives that we create in our mind that maybe.

11:00.25
wildremedies
And.

11:12.65
Jeff
Ah, been there for a very long time and don't serve us and in any way.

11:14.96
wildremedies
Yeah, very wise Well okay Sue you're alluding to cold therapy a little bit. We've talked about ceremony. Why don't we dig in to your journey. Like who who you are who you serve what you love to do and how how you got to that place.

11:39.91
Jeff
Who am I what do I serve? Well my name is Jeff and I'm founder of Breath Army and my mission is to educate inspire and empower people to live to their true potential and so I use different modalities of breath work meditation movement. Stressors like cold and heat and also psychedelics to help people break through the structures and the patterns that hold us back from living and expressing that true potential and so that's kind of like the the avatar that I play in this world who am I really. Of course I'm an expression of spirit and who do I serve like I serve spirit I serve loved and I think all my intentions all my actions my words and my deeds i.

12:22.72
wildremedies
E.

12:34.12
Jeff
Endeavor to align those with the highest good for all. Um.

12:38.91
wildremedies
I Love that? Yeah, that's very powerful. It's a practice. Yeah yeah, well I mean we're always healing aren't we.

12:45.39
Jeff
Doesn't always work out but I do my best right? I Still got some some stories and narratives that I'm working with.

12:58.53
wildremedies
Yeah, um, well tell me a little bit about your your healing journey like where where did you start out and what made you get into being in a place where you're just so passionate about serving love and humanity.

13:13.80
Jeff
You know I guess the healing journey I don't know if I could think of of 1 specific place that it originated I think it sort of filters and titrates in and in different experiences and so. Through my twenty s I did a lot of international travel and and as I'm from a very small town in Bc and from reveltoke originally so it didn't really have a lot of exposure to spiritual esoteric monalities growing up and my. Childhood was pretty black and white. Not really a lot of religious overtones a little bit of catholicism at a really young age but really just kind of went headfirst into science and you know theres really pretty pretty geeky kid and. And really just you know bought into that that science cosmology of the world and and I thought things were black and white for a long time. Um, then through my twenty s I had a lot of Really bad accidents some near death experiences and there' had been a lot of childhood trauma as well. So those those big shock traumas kind of started to to allow some of that other trauma to bubble up and.

14:36.56
wildremedies
Are.

14:43.89
Jeff
Your death experiences really started to shake up that cosmology of what I thought I knew what my view and perspective was of what the world was and what our role within it was and so that started to shake things up. After a particularly bad accident that really started to erode those foundations and got really hooked on painkillers. You know it'd always been an experimenter in terms of recreational drugs psychedelics. And that kind of sent me on this path of hard drug addiction that yeah tookly from reelstroke down to the downtown east side eventually ended up in Mexico and kind of crash landed in maserlan. Which pretty much seemed like it was the end of the road at that point and managed to get myself together when I got there and found yoga meditation prana elma and that became my new addiction.

15:41.40
wildremedies
And.

15:51.52
wildremedies
He.

15:56.22
Jeff
Just dove into that and just started to take those teachings and all that wisdom in and not just learn about it but really live it and so I started teaching fairly early on and. Yeah, just had a really really strong personal practice and a really a ferocious appetite to learn more and I just you might had this inquisitive kind of analytical mind and I just wanted to know as much as I could and kept going down all those rabbit holes and. And that road to recovery was was pretty Bumpy. There was some really big ups and downs along the way and eventually that led me back to Canada and over time I just got more and more curious about the breath. And understanding my own breath was such a huge piece of my healing that I kept on going further and further down that rabbit hole and eventually that led me to conscious connected breathing and hoff's teachings and. Really at some point just saw this emerging wave of breathwork and I could really see that it was a standalone modality and just like the the waves of yoga and meditation that had come before I could see while this was like.

17:25.91
Jeff
A huge thing that's coming and it seemed like such a poignant medicine for the time you know I I have this belief system that we're we're so disconnected and we're so out of alignment right now that. That's why we need these big medicines of breath and psychedelics to help just like break those structures that are keeping us out of alignment and keeping us in amnesia and so yeah I just jumped on that. On that wave of breathwork and started riding that out and and went down all the rabbit bulls that came along the way and studied with some really amazing people and kept studying movement and yoga and bringing all these different pieces together and static dance and. Ceremony and psychedelics. And yeah, just I think at a really early age I was really really unhappy and even though I was a really smart kid and when I went to school on it.

18:19.74
wildremedies
A.

18:33.64
Jeff
Went to University on a scholarship and I was going to be a doctor I really didn't care about school I just wanted to be happy and so it's nothing else really seemed to matter along the way and I think over time that desire to be happy shift it to.

18:37.83
wildremedies
E.

18:53.61
Jeff
Just wanting to be at peace with life and through all that that journey with addiction and the dark Night. So the soul of a mental illness I just wanted to be at a place where I was at peace and so. That's what these different modalities have been for me is they've been a way to create peace in my mind and to help me to Unravel all the different layers of trauma and energy and emotions that were all bundled up and kind of shut down inside and. And allowed me to come to a place where a lot of time I feel pretty peaceful and I feel that I have purpose in my life and that I'm able to affect people in a positive way and I get to do the things that I love all day every day and share all these amazing tools with people. So.

19:32.42
wildremedies
In.

19:49.37
Jeff
Been been a fun ride a wild ride.

19:54.40
wildremedies
Um, you know Wow What an incredible experience. Thank you for sharing that? Yeah, there's so my gosh there's a lot to pack there.

19:59.80
Jeff
Um, thanks for asking.

20:04.80
Jeff
Hey.

20:06.97
wildremedies
Um, yeah I mean I definitely you know resonate with you in a lot of different ways when you talk about you know, just some of those dark struggles like I know through my twenty s my my twenty s were really difficult as well. And and there was a lot of parting. There was a lot of drug and alcohol abuse and although I didn't you know, fund myself rock bottom in Mexico I had my own rock bottom and it's interesting how those really kind of put you in touch with your purpose.

20:37.72
Jeff
Are.

20:45.51
wildremedies
Right? Or like that that that big wake up call. Um, and so grateful for that. Even though it's extremely painful at the time you know and and what a blessing because you know I've I've had friends who were in similar circumstances gotten an accident.

20:45.96
Jeff
Um, two.

21:03.98
wildremedies
Where prescribed opiates ended up on downtown side in Vancouver and they didn't get that you know that that grace that was provided for them right? because really for me. That's what it feels like it's like when your intuition recognizes that you're being.

21:09.14
Jeff
Um.

21:16.40
Jeff
Um, in him.

21:23.12
wildremedies
Given another way another chance like what? what did that look like for you.

21:30.20
Jeff
Yeah, it's funny. There's There's kind of always been this sense of even in the midst of those dark dark dark dark times as you see of a grace or an energy of support. That's there. And ah, knowing that there's there's a deeper purpose.. There's There's more meaning to life than than what I had known and something to share That's important with the world and know. And those times you can't even imagine what it is that you could possibly share but it felt like you know like I went through such wild experiences along the way and it it felt like you know I I don't think I really woke up to it until. Towards the end of of the real kind of wildness in that journey but towards the end even within some of those dark dark experiences just feeling like no this is exactly where you need to be and this is exactly what you need to experience and I think it was.

22:39.66
wildremedies
A.

22:43.15
Jeff
After the the yoga and the meditation and all those other practices had come into place that there there was more of an awareness that this is the exact medicine that I need right now and I might not want to be here but I know that there is something I need to learn here. And something that's going to be important for the next stage of the journey and I think it's so fascinating to you know to look back at my own life and I hear this from so many other people that have been on this journey too that we have all these seemingly random experiences in our.

23:03.11
wildremedies
He.

23:19.12
Jeff
Earlier years you know like the places we work and the people we meet and places we go and at that time they they really don't have any apparent meaning and then you know we look back years later and and think wow like. You know when I had that restaurant in Mexico or you know when I was working as a paramedic or whatever there is a recognition that that that piece was integral in creating this person that you are now and the unique medicine that you serve in the world. So it's I find that piece fascinating. We're always exactly where we need to be.

23:56.26
wildremedies
Um, yeah, yeah, yeah I mean we we signed up for the assignment right? And for the challenges that were given in in this lifetime.

24:06.71
Jeff
Um, king.

24:11.11
wildremedies
That's really amazing that you had that awareness it. It makes me wonder so you mentioned you had a near death experience was this before you found yoga and meditation. Okay, oh really and did you like like.

24:23.19
Jeff
Um, yeah I had 3 of them in my twenty s whom.

24:29.40
wildremedies
Was it an nde like did you have an experience. Did you see something or I'm just I'm totally fascinated with your death stuff.

24:37.50
Jeff
Um, um, yeah, there is very different experiences so out of Bodyd experiences I'm having a sense of traveling towards something which was clear that that was another.

24:41.90
wildremedies
Um, okay yeah.

24:54.36
Jeff
Phase of life that you know there there was a conscious choice as to whether to go back. Whether to keep going and there was an awareness around the going back was going to involve a lot of suffering.

25:08.45
wildremedies
And head.

25:10.91
Jeff
And that there is going to be a lot of pain involved with that but it felt like that was still the direction that I needed to go and I don't know whether that was just out of fear out of fear of the unknown you know, but it it was clear that that was the path to take and and that was interesting too because. Had that awareness that coming back was going to lead to a lot of pain and suffering and there was a lot of pain and suffering on that road and both for myself being immersed in these different situations in different locations of you know. Downtown East side. A perfect example of just like being steeped in suffering on being incarcerated in different places and being in these prisons that just reek of ah pain and suffering and just the stories of.

25:54.41
wildremedies
He.

26:07.58
Jeff
Suffering and anguish and you know and going through just this anguish of of mental health struggles and and trials and tribulations you know, but what I didn't realize in that moment of decision was that yes. It was going to lead to a lot of pain and suffering but that on the other side of all that pain and suffering was peace and everything that I ever wanted and so I think that's that's something that.

26:35.40
wildremedies
Um.

26:39.75
Jeff
Can be taken away from that and it is something that I try and share with people that I work with is that it doesn't matter what we're going through that it it is an integral piece of getting us to where we want to go.

26:51.80
wildremedies
E.

26:54.90
Jeff
And that you know that going through these different experiences is challenging as it can be is going to make us into the person that we want to become but is really opening to those and can we find Grace can we find that acceptance and. Not hold ourselves in those experiences longer than we need to because I think sometimes when we end up in those places that we become identified with that and that becomes who we are and we are.

27:17.10
wildremedies
He.

27:28.10
Jeff
We're terrified to let go of that aspect of our identity even though we don't really want that anymore.

27:36.70
wildremedies
Um, yeah, and I think also too because I mean now you're in a position of you know, leadership in a way and you're able to teach people From. Those hard experiences that you went through and that's something that I'm identifying now too I've you know mentioned this several times on the podcast. But for me my a lot of my karma in this lifetime has been like illness a lot lot of physical and mental anguish throughout my life like.

28:06.37
Jeff
Are you.

28:09.28
wildremedies
Deep Deep dark dark pain. Um, and now you know coming to terms and realizing that I had to go through all of those experiences in order to create what I'm creating now right? like I didn't think that I would get into.

28:23.44
Jeff
Facing me.

28:27.30
wildremedies
Herbalism and natural health and all of these things I was you know a designer and a party animal in my twenty s right? and never thought that I would be into meditation and yoga and. Completely obsessed with with wellness that that was not what I thought I would end up doing but you know I had to go through all of these different ah healing modalities and still continue to like the work is not over for me at all in order to share them with other people because. You know I thought it was really interesting What you what you said about humanity being so out of alignment that we'd need these really big medicines These big healing modalities in order to create shifts I've been reading a lot about that. Um and herbalism lately where you know a lot of the plants and stuff.

29:07.62
Jeff
Can.

29:19.56
wildremedies
That were traditionally used as Medicine made a much bigger impact on our bodies because we weren't so full of toxins and like you know, whatever we've got like the wi-fi the five G and like all of the things and so these are still really beautiful nourishing things but you're not going to feel the impact.

29:29.30
Jeff
Um, you hear me.

29:39.41
wildremedies
As much as it would have a couple of hundred years ago. Um, which is unfortunate on many different levels. But yeah, it really does make sense. It's like we need so much more to kind of move us from the stuckness that we're in because.

29:45.45
Jeff
Um, we hear me.

29:58.55
wildremedies
We're getting it from like all sides right now. Ah.

30:02.15
Jeff
Um, well in a way it feels like you know like you spoke earlier to these different ideas that that it feels like we're birthing right now and you know and it feels like we're pregnanted. It's like these things want to come out of us. But I feel.

30:13.82
wildremedies
Um.

30:19.59
Jeff
Also it also feels like we're in the process of being birthed and we've kind of been in this process for the last thousands of years of this concentration of trauma you know from generation to generation to generation and.

30:32.82
wildremedies
In january.

30:38.55
Jeff
Know you spoke to with the medicines. It say you know 5 10 generations back. You know it's like every generation since then that that trauma has been concentrating concentrating concentrating and now we're in this moment where we can't bear it anymore. We can't stand to be with it.

30:54.10
wildremedies
In me.

30:58.41
Jeff
We don't have any other option but to heal and to kind of go through that person process of birthing into something new and it's almost like that that process of being in the Chrysalis you know the metamorphosis of the. Caterpillar to the butterfly and that that dissolution of of what was into what flies out of the cocoon and and flies away into a completely new state of being.

31:28.86
wildremedies
Um, yeah, what? what? what? an incarnation to be experiencing right now right? like it's so ah.

31:35.21
Jeff
Um, the lucky ones.

31:40.34
wildremedies
Doesn't feel like it some days you know like especially the last three years it's been like what the fuck did we sign up for ah but yeah, it really is fascinating to see I mean like and the shifts that are happening right now.

31:50.80
Jeff
Um, if you move.

31:56.97
wildremedies
Are so big and so profound are profound and and and quick right? like we really are going through like such and awakening right now right? like Twenty Twenty fifth thistrology for 2023 was like the whole awakening stuff is like it's gangster like there's gonna be a lot of stuff a lot of stuff coming up. Yeah.

32:14.30
Jeff
Um, yeah, yeah.

32:16.17
wildremedies
Yeah, and I mean so we've kind of been in training for this right? like all of these really hard things. We've been going through. It's like well there's gonna be a lot of people that that again to need some help. Yeah.

32:23.91
Jeff
Absolutely yeah I was thinking the exact same thing as you're speaking is the importance of all those challenging experiences and and how that's you know how it feel like hardened maybe isn't the right word but it's it's prepared us.

32:39.85
wildremedies
In here.

32:42.24
Jeff
To be able to to manage these big changes in a little bit more graceful way than than others who might be newer to the the degree of discomfort that we're experiencing right now and and so it really does allow us to to rise up and to to help.

32:46.63
wildremedies
Here.

33:02.13
Jeff
Lead the way and show the path and and provide people with that support to to know that that we can get through it. We can do hard things together and and maybe even take ourselves through this and and.

33:02.42
wildremedies
He.

33:12.18
wildremedies
A.

33:21.41
Jeff
Transition into a completely different way of being where we don't need fear and pain and suffering to be our teachers anymore and maybe we could let love be our teacher and it could be a whole lot softer and whole lot more gentle.

33:30.99
wildremedies
A.

33:41.23
Jeff
I toy with that. A lot is that maybe that that transition is is underway and that we can release that way of being we can release that way of learning and and know ourselves in in. Love.

34:00.46
wildremedies
I Mean that would be great I struggle with that because you know the whole concept of duality and everything and we've always have to have like this dark element but and and ah I don't know if you've like heard at all about the. Probably but like the 2027 prophecies in human design right? talks about like less karma and kind of what you were talking about so but I like I'm I'm here for it. I'm here for more peace I'm here for less suffering. Absolutely.

34:31.80
Jeff
Um, making you.

34:33.76
wildremedies
Let's bring it on.

34:36.49
Jeff
Um, while and it's you know I think about the light and the dark and you know and and do we need to identify darkness with pain and suffering and fear or could we.

34:47.21
wildremedies
And.

34:51.33
Jeff
Identify darkness with all of those nourishing qualities that we spoke to around the soltice. You know of going Ian going back into the room going back to the mother getting quiet. You know that that actual dark.

34:55.75
wildremedies
More 8

35:08.97
Jeff
Energy of the mother and you know from which all is born and can can that represent the darkness does the darkness need to be represented by by these heavy hard teachers I don't know that's I think maybe we'll find out in our lifetime. Me.

35:29.44
wildremedies
Um, I mean why not we've already experienced so much I feel like this is just kind of the the ultimate like you know I've heard in.

35:41.29
wildremedies
Some of the more I don't know I use the term woowoo sometimes but like in some of the new age teachings that you know this this time period that we're in right now you know a lot of people lined up for because there's just so much going on. Right? Like we're just we're experiencing so much and everybody wanted to be here. Everybody wanted to to sign up and and and see what's what's going down right now. I Guess yeah.

36:02.80
Jeff
If really.

36:12.16
Jeff
Um, yeah, and so got lucky selected for the mission and I'm thrilled to be here.

36:20.36
wildremedies
Did I Loved what you mentioned about? Um, you know the the cold being a teacher like do you kind of use that as a tool in order to help people become. More comfortable with with being uncomfortable. Yeah.

36:38.95
Jeff
Um, yeah, we're such a comfort driven society. You know our whole culture is is built around comfort and and avoiding.

36:42.79
wildremedies
He.

36:51.54
Jeff
Avoiding the pain avoiding the suffering avoiding all of the emotion that we don't want to feel and so it's just a great gateway. It's a great entryway for people to recognize that within that discomfort on. That that discomfort can actually lead to feeling really good and breaking through all these old belief systems and eliminating Beliefs and patterns of behavior and thought that really don't serve us and it's such a. Ah, profound teacher because it just creates that depth of presence and it's just like instant that we we drop into a deeper level of presence and connection to everything around us and I think again, it's a strong medicine.

37:32.99
wildremedies
Hey.

37:46.38
Jeff
And in order to break that identification with the mind and our thoughts and our narratives it takes something really strong and and the cold is I think one of the best medicines and that it's so quick and it's so powerful. And you know in in a lot of ways. It's as wem would say it's merciless you know, but it's it's not just merciless from the the physical perspective in terms of. The effects on the body but it's it's merciless in its ability to break a so to that identification with mind and bring us into the present moment bring us into the body and restore that connection with sensation and feeling and emotion.

38:24.17
wildremedies
A.

38:35.79
Jeff
Which is what so many of us need more of right now.

38:36.84
wildremedies
Yeah, absolutely,, you're making me want to fill my bathtub up with ice right now. I mean we've got a whole freezing cold lake that I could just jump into but like I said it's like I gotta I got to warm up after I'm just I'm all about like. Because late like what what I've noticed is for myself I'm very sensitive because you know I've had a lot of physical stuff going on in my body. Um I can't handle a whole lot of extra stress on my body right now I'm working towards I want to get to a point where.

39:07.48
Jeff
Night.

39:12.42
wildremedies
I can run a marathon but at this point my body just doesn't let me so stressful situations on but for me can just be going for hike during some point in my cycle which is like not ideal for some reason it's just not very resilient. So I love the idea of hot and cold therapy. But.

39:13.74
Jeff
Um, we are.

39:26.46
Jeff
Um, if you know.

39:31.54
wildremedies
Have to be really careful at this point because a little bit of cold therapy for me. My adrenals could just be like no absolutely not and then I'm not feeling so great the next day. But for anybody who is not struggling with that sort of thing I think it's wonderful. But um I have to work up to it.

39:42.47
Jeff
Um, my height.

39:48.59
Jeff
Are.

39:50.28
wildremedies
Unfortunately I'm going through a pretty cool healing process right now. Actually I think you know Dr Kevin Preston I've seen you guys together on. Yeah yeah, so I've been working with him for a few months now and.

39:55.81
Jeff
You help you.

40:04.49
wildremedies
I've alluded to a little bit of the healing process on the podcast Here. He's coming back On. He's been on once and we're going to do a little update here I Think at the the end of this month and yeah, it's pretty cool like being in a place where I'm working with someone who can tell me like actually what. The root cause of some of these issues have been and the healing process with what we've been using which is basically frequency medicine with homeopathy which is a whole new thing for me and absolutely wild but like it's been.. It's been challenging again. A lot of like really uncomfortable stuff because it's like.

40:31.36
Jeff
You.

40:42.83
wildremedies
It's kind of bringing everything up so I'm having you know, uncomfortable physical stuff and a lot of things that have been bothering me over the years have just been exacerbated and I'm really having to trust this process. It's difficult because like I feel like I'm 80 right now. Ah, kids.

40:45.90
Jeff
Um, me.

41:02.10
Jeff
Um, me.

41:02.82
wildremedies
It feels really rough. But I trust that this is the process that um I need to go through and that there is healing on on the other end and yeah so I'm in and again I can just see. Yeah.

41:13.64
Jeff
Will hang.

41:17.50
wildremedies
Ah, get put back in it over and over again. But every time it gets a little bit better. Yeah.

41:20.31
Jeff
Yeah, all great. You've got good people taking care of me. Kevin's amazing and it's been been a huge help in my own healing journey I've got a biocharer just over here to my right? So it's.

41:30.70
wildremedies
Um, he is oh really oh, that's great. Oh do you have one of those. They're pretty cool. Hey.

41:39.73
Jeff
Ah I do Yeah yeah, it's been the core of such a game changer. Yeah yeah, you have to come over for a biocharger session sometime you.

41:45.67
wildremedies
Yeah, oh.

41:53.10
wildremedies
Maybe I will try that out because what what is it? It's like a bio resonance like frequency thing or I'll ask him on the next podcast. Ah.

41:57.60
Jeff
I don't even know if I'm the best person to explain what it is since but yeah that here he will give you a far better explanation than than I could I I could piece 1 together. But.

42:10.74
wildremedies
Yeah.

42:13.17
Jeff
What I do know is that it's a game changer in terms of how I feel and when I'm really really busy and putting out a lot of energy and holding a lot of space. It really helps to charge me up and keep me in tip top condition.

42:18.32
wildremedies
Um, yeah, that's cool. Yeah, honestly Like. It's the future. It's funny. It's like we're kind of reclaiming a lot of like these traditional ways and you know I'm seeing that in people being more interested in herbs and wildcrafting and these types of things. But then we're also at this point where people are starting to understand the merge between.

42:47.87
Jeff
With me.

42:53.47
wildremedies
Science and spiritual spirituality right? And so now we have Quantum physics coming in. Oh my God I was listening to this podcast the other day I got to get this guy on the show. It was next level this dude he's like a computer programmer and.

43:10.33
Jeff
Um, if we.

43:10.98
wildremedies
He is taking physical elements of like say stem cells for example and he's somehow scanning it and taking the energetic imprint and then putting it into things like a crystal that you put in your water or like a cream or whatever. And it's not just like 1 thing. He's putting in like a hundred different ingredients and people are having these absolutely remarkable healing experiences and I'm like holy shit. Well, that's like basically what homeopathy is right? It's like frequency. It's imprints.

43:35.39
Jeff
Q.

43:43.13
Jeff
Um, is me.

43:45.37
wildremedies
And so I'm wrapping my head around this right now because I've I've made this vow is like okay if this homeopathy stuff heals me which I feel it's go I'm like I'm gonna have to dedicate my whole life to this like this is just this is it I'm gonna have to make products and would have leo. It's gonna be a whole thing. Ah.

43:59.40
Jeff
Um, we.

44:00.83
wildremedies
so there's so much that's just like starting to come out with it. But it really does feel like this is the this is the next thing like we're energy right? Like we're really starting to understand that now and so seeing it kind of manifest into. Our healing modalities in more of a mainstream way and then also like with what you're doing because that's energy healing too and it's so great to see it here in the Okinagan now.

44:25.48
Jeff
Um.

44:29.41
Jeff
Yeah, really are in in such a fascinating time of integration of different modalities and different. You know, like you said a completely different. You know like ancient plant. Healing and herbs and herbology and you know being merged in with these frequency remedies and you know and Quantum healing and different modalities and we see like this synthesis and bringing together different modalities like yoga and meditation and cacao and they're like from you know they. Different areas of the world and different medicines and it's like we have such incredible access to information right now that you know it's just this. It's like we're in this cauldron of bringing all of this information and wisdom together to really create something.

45:23.19
wildremedies
Are a.

45:23.20
Jeff
So potent and powerful and so needed in our time and like you know, like thinking back to Saturday night and and that synthesis of of cacao. Of movement of breathwork of sound healing of meditation of dance and it's like it's so incredibly potent right? like it's as potent as virtually any psychedelic you know the the experience and it's and it's so real.

45:53.72
wildremedies
He.

45:56.00
Jeff
So tangibly felt and it's It's so much closer to our ordinary state of reality and you know so it's it's almost I Love I Love psychedelics as well. But sometimes it's hard to bring some of those insights and some of that awareness and some of those downloads into our our normal ordinary state to reality whereas something really tangible. That's a little bit closer. That people can relate to and and resonate with a little bit easier is really powerful to give people such ah, a powerful experience without consuming anything so it's pretty to.

46:30.55
wildremedies
A.

46:43.60
wildremedies
I love that and I love that more people are reaching for those types of experiences now too right? like and ah like that's definitely not the way that I used to ring in the new year

46:48.90
Jeff
Are.

46:56.99
wildremedies
Right? Like it was always. It was always a party. It was always a party. But yeah.

47:01.91
Jeff
Um, yeah, you know and I do a lot of these events and you know and just shorter events and low priced offerings in the community and offer them on Friday Saturday nights and that's a comment that I get.

47:14.30
wildremedies
He oh.

47:17.77
Jeff
From people a lot of the time is you know like I started coming to these just as something to do on a Friday night to go out and feel good and be around good people and you know and just be in a higher vibration and you know not need to be at home. Meditating by myself or whatever. It's like your out community and you you get that social element as well. And.

47:38.95
wildremedies
Yeah, okay so you guys are doing stuff like that on a weekly basis. Oh well I want to come.

47:44.49
Jeff
I do stuff like that all the time. Yeah, yeah, absolutely I want you there but I'm taking January off so but first weekend in February you'll be doing one with my partner Jada who's also amazing.

47:54.40
wildremedies
Okay, so February cool. Cool.

48:03.48
Jeff
And brings a lot of movement and dance and and primordial teaching so we team up then and do a workshop that we call Caduceus which is leavingav the secret masculine and feminine duba and so that incorporates movement and breath work and.

48:13.35
wildremedies
Um, who.

48:20.53
Jeff
Bit of dance and little bit of meditation and mantra that beautiful offering would be great to have you there.

48:23.39
wildremedies
Amazing. Yeah I love that? Yeah and I love that because yeah, like with I do need something to do on a Friday night you know like it. Yeah yeah, absolutely.

48:34.85
Jeff
Um, yeah, just break things up and just go out and and have fun and be around people and be enjoy and be in that that love vibration and just you know I think as.

48:42.41
wildremedies
Is.

48:51.53
Jeff
Important as it is for people to go within and to have quiet time and to do the meditation and to to sit and to allow you know and ideas and wisdom to arise from within us I think one of the other. Probably medicines of our time that is so needed right? now is community and to go out and be in community be around like-minded people to be seen to be heard and just to recognize that.

49:09.48
wildremedies
Yes.

49:23.31
Jeff
I think sometimes you know for myself I was on a path by myself for a long time. You know through some really dark places and so you have these insights and you know have these shifts in awareness. But when there's nobody to reflect that back to you there. Can be this doubt that arises this like is this real you know is you know my kind of like dreaming all this stuff up or you know you don't really have that that clarity as when you're you know like Saturday night you're in a group of 125 people. Everybody's feeling you know some version of that same thing I say no this this is real. You know that this is a new way of being and so I think yeah being together in community is is such a key key medicine for right now too.

50:02.63
wildremedies
Um, and.

50:13.41
wildremedies
Absolutely yeah, yeah, it is. It's really needed and you know it's tough because it can be hard to find community just the way that our society is right now. Um. And I think that's why so many people in our culture really were I don't know if the younger generations are so much. But I mean like I mentioned when I was in my twenty s like that's what you did on Fridays and Saturdays whatever you went out and you partied but you were looking for connection of some sort but that was just that was just the so. So.

50:41.82
Jeff
Um, more absolutely way.

50:48.18
wildremedies
Socially, acceptable way of doing it at at that point and so now to have some options that aren't that and that are you know, healthy and foster like real connection and not you know, just like poisoning yourself and like doing stupid shit I think is is really important. Um, and you know one of the blessings that I feel of the past few years has been um, the opportunity to kind of like find your people too. You know? yeah.

51:20.29
Jeff
Um, yeah, yeah, there's been kind of this process of of attrition. You know coming into alignment of who we really are but then in alignment with tribe and then they give whatever's out of alignment is more out of alignment than ever.

51:26.31
wildremedies
Um, yeah.

51:35.32
wildremedies
You see.

51:37.35
Jeff
You know and it's it's really uncomfortable and it's it's forcing us into alignment with with orself within community and I think that we're really lucky in Yuogan because there there is a really strong sense of community and there is really a lot of people doing amazing.

51:42.18
wildremedies
Yeah.

51:55.99
Jeff
And some really powerful leaders in their communities and yeah I encourage people to get out and to tap into that in whatever way they can and you know yoga studios were kind of always my place of refuge and the place that I I was able to find that connection and.

51:58.60
wildremedies
A.

52:15.79
Jeff
We had some great studios here in the city and teach at pronify. There's a beautiful community there Even if you can just get out a few days a week and go to a class and be in that vibration. It makes such a difference.

52:28.80
wildremedies
Yeah, Absolutely yeah and I think that's been hopefully a lesson for a lot of people too. You know when there was all the Draconian lockdowns and things that were happening and people really had to face. That isolation I mean we we already experience it just with the way that our society is right Now. It's like we live in our little boxes. Nobody really talks to our neighbors anymore and then we have this whole lockdown situation which is obviously wreaked havoc on people's mental health we've seen you know. Mass suicides all of these things. Um, but it really shows how important human connection is right and like it is just it's that is health and wellness just within itself like humans are wired.

53:11.76
Jeff
Make him here.

53:22.12
wildremedies
For connection like we we must have it like air which is fascinating.

53:28.37
Jeff
Um, well and that was part of the theme of of reclamation is you know, reclamation of body mind Soul Spirit Sovereignty individuality but also reclamation of community.

53:39.50
wildremedies
Any.

53:40.96
Jeff
And the recognition that that that is an imperative and that we we can't let that go that there's that that needs to be protected and that's it's so important.

53:45.62
wildremedies
E.

53:58.13
wildremedies
I Love it? Well we're getting close to our time now. Um, so for anybody listening who doesn't happen to be in the oak organ.

53:59.87
Jeff
Um, with me are.

54:09.80
wildremedies
Can they still connect with you. Are there offerings and things that you have where people from all over can partake.

54:16.66
Jeff
I do travel quite a bit so I travel in between victorian and calgar is kind of my my path that I take in the world and so there's lots of offerings in between those 2 places and then yeah.

54:24.00
wildremedies
He.

54:36.10
Jeff
Through through the breath army website. There's some different offerings on there I do online courses I've got a course called the breathwork blueprint and that's a twelve week online course and that starts the next cohort on March second and then I also have a facilitator training course and the next cohort starts in June so there is some in-person aspects to that but a lot of that is online for people that that aren't here in the okinagan as well and then just travel for the immersion aspects of it. So.

55:06.93
wildremedies
A.

55:09.66
Jeff
Yeah, there's lots of online offerings. There's the free breath temples that happen every Sunday morning at Nine a M and after two week break we're starting that back up on this Sunday morning. So awesome.

55:19.45
wildremedies
Cool all right? Well I'm excited for February to come decent in person staff I psyched about that I also I meant to ask you you you do some men's work stuff too. Don't you.

55:32.39
Jeff
Yeah, yeah, we did a men's retreat in December down at the sentinel called awakening man and that was unbelievably good. It was amazing to see the men that showed up and.

55:38.99
wildremedies
His in their back.

55:52.30
Jeff
You know and I'm sure it's It's nothing new to you to you know this idea that you know women have been doing the work for a long time and had a deeper interest in many of these different healing modalities and for whatever reason I think there's a lot of reasons why men haven't. Haven't gone down that path and you know we could get into that and it's not so important as to the fact that it seems like many men are waking up to the fact that that work needs to be done and the way those men showed up was unbelievable like they were there and they were ready.

56:20.38
wildremedies
A a.

56:29.47
Jeff
And I feel like the women have kind of laid this groundwork and that men are stepping in right now and there's this process of calibration that's happening like really quickly and so it's not going to take all this time.

56:40.20
wildremedies
A.

56:45.37
Jeff
For that process of of healing to happen I feel like we're in this period of acceleration and calibration and so that was really really cool to witness and be a part of and yeah, we're talking about doing a men's group at pronify a regular men's group.

56:51.15
wildremedies
And trust me.

57:04.31
Jeff
And so that will likely start up this month in January I'm not sure when this will actually come out to the world but that will start here within the next few weeks and there's more awakening men retreats coming up and during one out in Calgary in march.

57:12.47
wildremedies
Cool.

57:21.18
Jeff
And then another one down Sentin on their Casmmo in May so yeah, fun to be doing some of that work but it so like working with women too and like having that that mix of men and women. It seems like especially in a lot of the events that I do it. It's starting to be.

57:23.71
wildremedies
His.

57:32.15
wildremedies
And.

57:39.90
Jeff
More of a fifty fifty mix and that's really fun too. Yeah to have both those energies because that's really healing too is for each of the genders to be in the healing energy of the other one. So yeah, good work to be done separate and good work to be done together.

57:40.13
wildremedies
Oh that's good. Yeah yeah.

57:53.19
wildremedies
Um, yes, yay. Well I love to hear that um you know I spent some time living in Vancouver and was part of a community there where we did a lot of men's work and women's work and you know.

58:08.87
Jeff
My voice.

58:09.40
wildremedies
Together work that was very very intense I did some conscious relationship training which was pretty wild like we did some pretty intense processes which was great and what I needed at that time and I was hoping to see more of that here in in the okinaga and didn't didn't initially but now I am which is great. And I love to hear the feedback that you know your classes and stuff are becoming more of like a fifty fifty mix because for the longest time and even you know still when I go to yoga you might have like 1 or 2 eyes in the back. It's mostly women at this point. Um.

58:40.92
Jeff
The.

58:44.77
wildremedies
But I think you know things like breath work and um, you know some of these ceremonial type things. Yeah, bring bring out more guys. Ah whatever it doesn't matter like as long as everybody starts doing the work. That's that that's the important thing So that's that's great news.

58:48.16
Jeff
Called.

58:55.10
Jeff
Um, he.

59:02.22
wildremedies
Good to hear. Yeah and if there's any guys listening right now that are maybe curious about it like I just feel like men's work is so so important because so many men you know, like most men can't say that they have you know, even a best friend at this point.

59:04.13
Jeff
Um, you absolutely.

59:18.58
Jeff
With me.

59:20.61
